A handsome lantern clock by 'William Speakman in Hatton Garden Londini Fecit', made in the 1670s originally with balance wheel escapement and converted later to verge pendulum. Exceptionally fine hand. Unrestored but in working order. Some wheelwork replaced in the past. Only three other lantern clocks are on record by him

A unique lantern clock with original verge escapement made in the 1680s by William Reeve of Spalding, Lincolnshire, a maker previously unrecorded and the only clock known by him, also signed behind the chapter ring by Joseph Windmills of London (who perhaps did the engraving), this being the oldest known domestic clock from the county of Lincolnshire. Unrestored but in working order. See article.

A fine lantern clock made about 1640 by Peter Closon, who worked 'near Holborn Bridge', London, one of the most important lantern clock makers of all time, born about 1594, apprenticed 1608 to Henry Stevens, working from 1615, died about 1660. The clock was made with balance wheel regulation, converted later to anchor and long pendulum. See article.
